PERSEUS at LOPEC 2025
PERSEUS, an EU-funded initiative dedicated to advancing perovskite solar cell technology, was proudly represented at LOPEC 2025, the leading global event for flexible, organic, and printed electronics. Held in Munich, Germany, the event gathered over 2,300 attendees from 43 countries, promoting knowledge exchange on the latest innovations in the field.
Thomas Kraft, PERSEUS project coordinator from VTT, delivered a compelling presentation in the Energy Generation and Storage session on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM. His talk, titled Sustainable: Printing Solar Cells in the Sub-Arctic, highlighted the strides being made in roll-to-roll printing of perovskite photovoltaics (Pk-PV), particularly in challenging sub-Arctic conditions. He emphasized the sustainability aspects of next-generation PV, including its applications in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), indoor IoT, and wearables.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore PERSEUS further at VTT’s booth in Hall B0.606, where project representatives engaged with industry experts, researchers, and potential collaborators to discuss the role of perovskite-based solar cells in Europe’s energy transition.
LOPEC 2025 provided an excellent platform for PERSEUS to connect with key stakeholders and reinforce its mission to develop and scale sustainable perovskite photovoltaics. As global demand for efficient and flexible solar energy solutions grows, the insights and collaborations from LOPEC will be instrumental in accelerating the project's progress.
