First Exploitation Workshop
The PERSEUS project recently held its first exploitation workshop, organized by Michal Klauda from FENIX TNT, to ensure the long-term impact and market potential of its innovations in perovskite solar cell technology. This session aimed to equip project partners with the knowledge and tools necessary to transform research outcomes into tangible applications that contribute to renewable energy advancements, industrial innovation, and European sustainability goals.
Exploitation is a critical aspect of EU-funded projects, ensuring that research results do not remain confined to academic settings but are developed into commercially viable products, policy recommendations, or industry solutions. By effectively managing exploitation strategies, PERSEUS can maximize the benefits of its work and support the broader transition to clean energy.
During the workshop, participants explored the fundamental principles of exploitation and why it is essential for projects like PERSEUS. The session focused on the collection of relevant data, the identification and characterization of exploitable results, and defining their function, purpose, and objectives within the broader energy sector. The discussion also covered the necessary steps to evaluate the technological, economic, and regulatory aspects of project outcomes, ensuring they are positioned for successful adoption.
By taking a structured approach to exploitation, the PERSEUS project is taking proactive steps to move its research from the laboratory to real-world applications. The insights gained from this workshop will help partners refine their strategies, ensuring that the next-generation perovskite solar cells developed within the project can contribute meaningfully to the European energy transition. As the project progresses, PERSEUS will continue to build on this foundation, working towards practical solutions that support the widespread adoption of sustainable solar technology.
